Things to do

Cave in to a fabulous Antiparos vacation

A short drive from Chora is the legendary Cave of Antiparos. Crammed with history, the cave is 330 feet deep and was once used as a refuge for ancient Macedonian generals who were hiding from Alexander the Great. There are over 400 steps down to the main cave, which is famous for its many stalactites and stalagmites, the oldest of which is 45 million years old. It also has signatures of famous visitors, including poet Lord Byron. While you’re here, don’t miss a peek into the beautiful, 18th-century chapel of Agios Ioannis Spiliotis next door.

Have naked ambition? Antiparos has beaches for everyone

A popular vacation destination, life in the Cyclades revolves around the beach. Antiparos is famed for its beautiful beaches and the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea, with some travelers letting it all hang loose at the clothing optional spots. If you’re traveling with the family, you can’t beat Antiparos Agios Spiridonas Beach, near Chora. Its long, sandy sweep, shallow crystalline waters, and buzzy beachfront tavernas makes it a popular choice for couples and families alike. After a busy day of relaxing, kick back on the terrace of your Antiparos vacation rental and watch the sun set with a glass of local ouzo.
